Uncle Kiwi was born on the road—well, almost.

It all started with Chad Hoblit, a small-town guy with a big heart and an even bigger dream: to explore every corner of the country in his vintage RV. From the rolling mountains of Montana to the sun-soaked beaches of the Gulf Coast, Chad spent years chasing sunsets, fixing flat tires, and turning strangers into lifelong friends.

He became known among fellow campers for two things: offering the best advice—and handing out fresh kiwis on every trip. That quirky tradition earned him the nickname Uncle Kiwi, and before long, the name stuck.

What began as Chad’s personal travel journal evolved into Uncle Kiwi, a trusted community for RV lovers, camper van explorers, weekend adventurers, and full-time road dwellers.
